MORETON Wanderers remain on course for a League and Cup double following victory in Sunday night's Tewkesbury Sports Knockout Cup Final.
In a disappointing contest, Wanderers dominated for long periods against a Bredon side that defended stoutly throughout and never stopped running.
After several missed chances, the Cotswolds club finally took the lead midway through the first half when Stephen Stroud headed home.
The game was put beyond the second division outfit when a defender put through his own goal following a good run and cross from Mark Jeffs.
Wanderers must now defeat Red Horse in this weekend's final League match to retain the title otherwise the Ambassador will be crowned champions.
The latter completed their first division programme with a seven-goal thrashing of Bear when Hay (2), Brain (2), Clear, Lynes and Reeves netted.
Victory for the Red Horse on Sunday would clinch runners-up spot and demote Wanderers to third place.
Bretforton Old Boys clinched the Division Three title as two Sam Linley goals helped defeat Moreton Town for whom Atkins replied.
Hampton WMC need three points from their last two games to overhaul Tewkesbury Town to secure second place following a six-goal win at Crowle with goals from Redding (3), Beattie (2) and Cox.
Before a three-figure crowd on Monday night, Eckington clinched runners-up spot in Division Four at the expense of opponents George.
The all-important goal came from Dan Bostock midway through the first half, but home keeper Tom Newell was the hero with one outstanding save and then a penalty save to deny the visitors
The season will conclude on Sunday evening at Broadway where Peopleton and Mountin-neers meet in the Evesham Mechanical Services Subsidiary Cup Final.
