A KIDDERMINSTER school's girls hockey team have gone from being bridesmaids to brides after wining a competition they were runners-up in last year.
Holy Trinity School's U13s finished second in the Dudley Schools Tournament in 2004 and went one better with success in the event last month.
Physical Education teacher and hockey coach Amanda Poili said it was a wonderful achievement for the girls in only their second year playing competitively.
"To return this year with the same team and to take the title is a testament to their hard work and sheer dedication to the sport and I'm immensely proud of them all."
Gemma Polito was top scorer with three goals.
Two team members Frances Baron and Shannon Lennock will be hoping for more glory when they turn out for Stourport U15s in the National Club Plate Finals in Manchester on May 14.
