A distinctive 8ft shrub worth £695 that was imported from Italy has been stolen from a garden centre.
The corkscrew-shaped privet, Ligustrun Jonandrum, was taken between 6pm on Monday and 8.30am the next day from Webbs of Wychbold, near Droitwich.
Centre manager David Green said: "This is a very distinctive plant and will be immediately noticeable in the majority of normal gardens that are on view from the road or from neighbouring properties."
A spokesman for South Worcestershire Police said: "If anyone notices one of these suddenly appearing in a garden or on or near a front door-step, we would like to hear about it."
Anyone with information can contact the police on 08457 444888, quoting 105S/030505.
