A WOODLAND walk near Alcester raised £375 for a cancer charity.
The event was organised by Matthew Skinner as part of his fund-raising for Cancer Research UK.
About 100 people of all ages set off from his home in Oversley Green and made the circular trip through Oversley Woods, currently carpeted in bluebells.
Mr Skinner, who is preparing to travel to Peru to take part in a trek to raise more money for the charity, said he was very pleased with the result.
There are still some tickets left for the Bangers and Boogie night at Alcester Town Hall on Friday, which will also raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
Local butchers and greengrocers have contributed to the fare and there will also be a bar and dancing to Hoppie Disco.
Tickets cost £10 and are available from Mr Skinner on 01789 763759 or from PSW on 01789 400717.
