I AM writing to let some of your readers know, who were former pupils of Redditch County High in years 1967, 1968 and 1969 and who attended the reunion at the Quality Hotel in June two years ago, that a cheque for £567 has been sent to Acorn's Childrens Hospice Trust.
Five hundred pounds was left over from the celebration and there were thoughts of repeating the occasion but I guess once was enough for most of us!
Esther Wood, the treasurer, and I therefore decided we would put the money, which has earned some interest, to good use and donate it to an appropriate local charity.
Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves on the night so I hope everyone will be happy to have helped a worthwhile cause in the process.
