(Four stars)

The fourth and latest album by Sweden's Caesars begins with a quiet guitar jangle that quickly works itself up into its full, bombastic glory.

The band has already made a name for itself, nabbing a Swedish Grammy for Album of the Year in 2002 for Love for the Streets.

But Paper Tigers has a new edge to it, with tentative, thoughtful tracks like It's Not the Fall that Hurts, and My Heart is Breaking Down.

Such tracks provide the perfect contrast to the bombastic and careless remix of Jerk It Out, a catchy tune which has brought the band to the fore since it was used as the backing track to the iPod Shuffle commercial.

It's ironic that listeners would take so much time to notice a band whose pleasures are so immediate but those who have caught onto the Caesars will simply be celebrating the fact that they're here - and it looks like they are here to stay.
