A SPA schoolgirl has been missing for three days and police are asking for anyone who may have seen her to come forward.

Sixteen-year-old Jessica Waterhouse may be in the company of a youth known to her parents only as 'Tom'.

Tom spoke to Jessica's mother by mobile phone when Jessica called at 8.15pm on Saturday night to ask if she could stay out until 11pm.

He said he would bring her home.

Jessica, who does not have a mobile phone, left her home in Camp Furlong at 11am to go to Worcester City Library. Her sister Jennifer saw her at 4pm outside McDonald's in Foregate Street, Worcester.

A police spokesman said: "Jessica's parents say that this is totally out of character for their daughter as she always calls if she is going to be late."

Jessica is a student at Blessed Edward Oldcorne High School, in Worcester. She is 5ft 7ins tall, slim and a size 8.

Jessica has shoulder length, wavy, dark brown hair and a pale complexion. She speaks with a Midlands accent.

She was wearing a short, black outer jacket, black strappy top, blue denim skirt and black court shoes.

She wore long, white metal 'dangly' earrings and a long white necklace with a butterfly motif.

The police spokesman added: "As Jessica has never disappeared before - and has not been in touch with her parents for more than 72 hours - there is genuine concern for her welfare.

"We would ask anyone who has seen her, or believes they know who she may be with - and where - to contact us immediately on 08457 444888, quoting reference 561S/020505.
