IT'S a similar story in Droitwich Spa where the electorate is being urged to get out and vote in both elections.

Residents in the Bowbrook ward will have the choice of Janet Saunders for the Liberal Democrats, Roy Seabourne representing the Labour party and Edward Sheldon for the Tories.

In the Droitwich East ward Spa folk will have to decide between Pam Davey representing the Conservatives, Wendy Carter for the Lib Dems and Edgar Harwood for the Labour party.

Conservative Mike Barratt, Lib Dem Janet Clarke and Labour's Peter Pinfield will battle it out for the Droitwich West position, while in the Ombersley ward, Conservative Maurice Broomfield, Pamela Jackson for the Liberal Democrats and Sheila Seabourne for the Labour party will be contesting the seat.

The returning officer has reminded townsfolk they should check their polling cards for the polling station at which they are eligible to vote. Polling stations in both towns and surrounding villages will be open from 7am to 10pm.

The results from the Spa area will be announced at Wychavon District Council offices in Pershore.
