I HAVE never written to a newspaper before, but after hearing that Bromsgrove District Council is to give MG Rover workers a Council Tax break, I would like to express my concerns.
Who will have to pay the extra for the missed payments, are they not able to receive benefits and can they not start looking for new jobs as the tax payers have already paid enough.
My husband was made redundant last March, and we were unable to pay the full amount of our Council Tax and by June we had received a court summons.
I am sure people all over the country are losing their jobs everyday but not getting the help the Rover workers are.
Can Bromsgrove District Council not understand that they have a responsibility to treat all tax payers the same.
