AN action-packed Worcester League Bernard Finnegan Cup final saw eight-man Claines lift the trophy after an extra-time penalty shoot-out against Bringsty Sports.

In a stormy match which saw four players sent off, one from Bringsty and three from Claines, Bringsty took a 2-0 interval lead through Leon Roberts and Craig Spragg.

Keith Aingel and Bryan Mogford equalised for Claines to send the match into extra-time where Spragg again restored Bringsty's lead.

Rob Powell brought the scores level again before Bringsty fell apart in the penalty shoot-out which Claines won 3-0 through conversions from Mark Webb, Pete Jinks and Mogford.

It was a double triumph for Claines who earlier in the week had clinched the Sunday League Division Two championship with a 6-2 win over local rivals New Inn Claines.

Powell hit a hat-trick with Aingel, Mogford and teenager Dave Baker also on the score sheet.

Perrywood Reserves are pushing Exel Star & Garter all the way to the Division One title, beating Perdiswell 4-1 in their latest match.

Mitch Hill cracked a hat-trick for the Wood with Mike Potadilo also on target.

However, Exel are still in the driving seat after a 2-1 success at The Bridge.

Maximum points in their last two matches against AFC Mazak and Nunnery Wood Sports will see them crowned champions.

Daniel Harding-Hall netted four times as St Johns crushed Cutnall Green 6-0.

And Ian Vass bagged a brace for All Blacks who drew 2-2 with Droitwich Spa Eagles.

On Saturday, West Malvern wound up their season in style, hammering Fernhill Heath Spurs 7-1.

Phil Jenkins netted four times with other goals coming from Andy Holder (two) and Duncan McCellar.
