TWO Worcestershire mothers and their seven-year-old children are showing they are all heart by taking part in a charity bike ride.
Sacha Elsey and her daughter Alexandra, from Droitwich, took part in the Hearts First Worcester bike ride last year.
Alex Henshall and son Jack, from Battenhall, Worcester, were so impressed with their friends' efforts they asked if they could team up with them this year.
The ride starts from Worcester Rugby Club and takes a 30-mile route through the north of the county, taking in Bromsgrove and Droitwich.
A 10-mile option is also available.
Now in its second year, the British Heart Foundation is hoping to build on the 2004 event, which raised just under £8,000 for the charity.
Sacha, a high school teacher, is looking forward to doing the ride again.
"My great aunt died from heart problems the week before last year's event so we did it for her," she said.
"I'd not given this year's ride much thought until Alex asked if she and Jack could team up with us."
The event takes place Sunday, June 5. Entrance costs £10 for adults and £5 for children.
