FOR almost two years, the forum has been trying to represent the older person's views on health, transport, housing, crime and landscaping in and around Redditch and Worcestershire.
Working with the seven other forums in the county, the Redditch Forum has approached "the powers that be", attended many meetings and conferences to learn about what services are available and get across what is really needed to serve the older people of the district.
Meetings are held once a month with lively discussions on issues that affect everyone.
The committee is only 10 strong and more help is needed.
Anyone who would like to find out more is invited to Redditch Town Hall on Thursday, May 19, at 10am and listen to speakers from Trading Standards, the fire service and police with special reference to safety in the home.
The committee will be there to answer questions and lots of information concerning older people's welfare will be on view.
To contact someone from the forum who would be pleased to give a short talk at society meetings or to be present at events, call 522030.
