WORCESTER St John's club cyclists have continued their good run of results with more wins and top places in regional events.

Junior member Joe Page won the first of the under 12s events at Victoria Park in Leamington, out-sprinting Joe Reeves of Redditch for the victory.

An hour later the two Joes again dominated racing with Reeves, determined to make up for the disappointment of race one, taking the win and relegating Page to second spot.

Not to be outdone by the youngsters, Page's father Vince managed to get sixth place in the race for fourth category senior riders.

Saints' Gavin Poupart rode a strong race in the Beacon Mountain Time Trial.

This classic 39-mile event takes in the climbs of Stamford bank and Ankerdine Hill near Martley.

Wolverhampton's Stuart Dangerfield once again blasted round the circuit in 1-34-06 to take another win in the event.

He was pushed all the way by Gavin Pardoe of Stourbridge who clocked in with 1-36-23. Poupart's efforts saw him clinch fourth place in 1-45-03.

In Saints' evening time trial series, the annual two-up 10-mile event at Kinnersley where riders can race in pairs, saw another good turn out.

Fastest pairing were Adrian Bird and Simon Wilson who finished in 22-52. Close behind were brothers Steve and Mike Potter in 23-19.

A distant third were Sean Dyson and Richard Graham with 25-23. Father and son pairings Joe and Vince Page and Dan and Martin Staines tied for fourth place in 29-42.

Fastest of the singles was Malvern's Rob Wood with an impressive 21-15.
