TWO people are hoping Worcester News residents will be able to help them with their searches for long-lost relatives.

Anthony Whelan, who now lives in Australia, is looking for his sisters, Barbara, Mona, and Rita, who used to lived in Worcester.

Known as Tony to his siblings, Mr Whelan lost touch when he moved Down Under 30 years ago.

Anyone who knows who they are is asked to contact him via email on antony. whelan@btopenworld.com.

Also looking for someone is Brenda Lancaster, who lives in Alcester, Warwickshire.

She is a direct descendant of George Grainger, who ran the pottery company Grainger's in the mid-1800s. This later affiliated with Royal Worcester Porcelain.

She was watching an edition of Antiques Roadshow, which had been filmed at Witley Court, when she noticed a pair talking to expert John Sandon.

He was looking at a plate the couple had taken along when the man mentioned he was also a direct descendant of Mr Grainger.

Mrs Lancaster would like to make contact with this man.

Anyone who knows who he is should call her on 01789 765515.
