DRESSING up as a Royalist soldier for a day of living history is what one Malvern man will be doing tomorrow (Saturday).

The historical re-enactment day in Worcester is will show people something of the lives of soldiers from the Middle Ages to the Second World War.

There will be a chance to learn 17th Century pike drill and even see the Confederates washing their smalls in a re-enactment of the more mundane side of military life.

"It's all a bit of fun and we hope lots of people will come and see what we do," said Paul Stanley, an English Civil War re-enactor who, when he's in costume, is the commanding officer of Captaine Charles Fox's Company of the King's Lifeguard of Foote.

The Living History Day at the Guildhall is free and open from 9am until 4.30pm.

Anyone who would like to join Captaine Charles Fox's Company can contact Paul on 01684 564294.
