EVERYONE has their 15 minutes of fame, as Andy Warhol said but for some people, in this case Charlie Conrad, it lasts for seven years.

Alan Ayckbourn's Drowning on Dry Land, at Malvern Theatres this week explores the world of the celebrity, the man to know.

But in Charlie's case we don't know, for what has he done?

Ayckbourn has lost none of his penetrating eye for a character, he observes superbly the frailties of humankind.

The first half of this play is dominated by the beautifully observed clown played by Sarah Moyle, and the second half by the super slick Hugo De Prescourt, a superb piece of acting by the very experienced Stuart Fox.

Every move and gesture showed his control. He dominated the scene - a veritable colossus.

The show runs until this Saturday.
