Good rock music is timeless as was proved at the Birmingham Hippodrome where Tommy, a classic musical, stunned audiences.

Tommy is a deaf, dumb and blind boy who is ridiculed by children until he plays a pinball machine to become a Pinball Wizard.

Tommy, released as a rock opera concept back in 1969, was later reworked into a musical.

The musical stars Jonathan Wilkes, a former television presenter, who sings classics from The Who.

Music by Who member Peter Townsend and theatrical legend Des McDuff create a memorable night.

The Who's Tommy at the Hippodrome runs until Saturday, February 26. For information contact the box office on 0870 730 1234.
