TOTS are queuing up to take part in Worcester Evening News' Baby of the Year 2005 competition.

This year organisers hope to make the competition bigger and better.

Eager parents will be lining up to have pictures taken of their babies and toddlers when the competition is launched on Monday.

After they register for the competition, their youngsters' pictures will appear in a special supplement - and then YOU will have the chance to vote for the most attractive baby.

Competition organisers Sarah Bevan and Sharon Sawyer said: "We are delighted that once again we are holding our annual Baby of the Year competition.

"We are looking forward to seeing how some of the babies have changed from last year as well as welcoming lots of new arrivals.

"Don't miss out on the fantastic opportunity to enter your baby and see their picture in the Evening News - this year will be even better as we will be printing the supplement in full colour."

Last year, a staggering 25,000 readers voted for 526 entrants.

The age categories will be the same as last year - 0-9 moths, 10-18 months and 19-36 months.

All parents have to do to enter free of charge is to visit the old Phone Shack store, next to Acorn Cards near CrownGate market, Angel Place in Worcester city centre, between Monday and Saturday March 5 between 10am and 5pm.

Professional photographers will take pictures and give parents a date to return and enter.
