A BOOKING for either Jermaine Clarke or Richard Ball at Thame United on Saturday will rule them out of the Division One West title clash at Yate on March 12.

Should Ball receive a tenth caution of the campaign at the Windmill Stadium then he will miss the trip to Lodge Road and the following Saturday's visit to promotion rivals Clevedon Town.

However, Evesham United boss Dave Busst revealed that he will name both men in his starting line-up this weekend.

"I will have a chat with both of them before the match but, if the chance permits, then I will take them off to protect them," the Common Road chief admitted.

Skipper Gavin O'Toole collected a fifth booking against Paulton and will miss the home date with Swindon on March 5, while three players who came back from bans last weekend were forced to take a seat in the dugout.

"We had just won three games on the bounce so I decided to keep faith with the side that did well at Oxford," Busst revealed.

The manager was full of praise for his defence but admitted that he would like to see his side score more goals.

"The strikers aren't going to score all the time and teams are playing against us to prevent us scoring and hoping to catch us on the break," Busst said.

"It's important then that we don't concede and the goal we let in on Saturday was unfortunate but we came back and grabbed a third almost instantly."

The Robins have rearranged their visit to Cinderford for Tuesday, April 12 (7.45pm), while their home match on Easter Saturday against Stourport Swifts will kick-off at 1pm due to the televised World Cup qualifier involving England and Northern Ireland.
