RAISING cash for the British Heart Foundation will be the aim of a sponsored wilderness trek in the Himalayas for a pair of Redditch friends next month.
Rachel Hind and Jane Nixon will tackle the six-day trek in Nepal next month, clambering up to 13,500ft.
Mrs Hind is walking in memory of her parents and uncle, who died prematurely from heart disease.
Staff of Redditch's Barclays Bank have donated £250 and a raffle has been organised with prizes of four VIP tickets for TV's Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, along with vouchers from B&Q and Alcester's Cellar Restaurant.
