THE media seems to be giving a lot of publicity to the Fathers4Justice campaign who are paying maintenance but have no access to their children.

But there are also fathers who have access but don't support their children, often going to great lengths to avoid making any maintenance.

Some fathers who do not pay are self-employed and not declaring their true earnings, making it difficult for the Child Support Agency to assess their income.

So, while their own children are on benefits, the father's new partner and family are living in comfort to the detriment of their own children.

Do these so-called caring fathers wonder how it makes their children feel? And will they also wonder why their children, when older, do not wish to keep in touch with them?
