SUPERMARKET giant Asda has revealed it is set to create 6,000 new jobs through at least 15 new stores and 20 major investment schemes in existing locations.

News of the expansion comes as Asda's newest recruit, celebrity mum Sharon Osbourne, hits the screen in a new TV commercial.

Asda's £600m expansion plans cover stores of all sizes. Work began this week on Asda's 20th Supercentre, in Milton Keynes, which will deliver 1,000 new jobs to the area. Other plans include new stores in Somerset, South Wales, Cape Hill in the West Midlands, Cannock, Staffordshire and Lowestoft, Suffolk.
