COLWALL WHC fought back from 1-0 down to snatch a point against Severn division one leaders Newent at Ledbury Leisure Centre on Saturday.

Colwall started brightly and were unlucky not the take the lead with Coral Handley, Nicky Glover and Jackie Styles forcing good saves from the Newent keeper.
In defence, excellent work from Laura Entwistle, Colleen Rogers, Lucy Halligan and Heidi Barlow, restricted Newent's attacking options
Newent finally broke the deadlock and took the lead in the last minute before half time from a short corner.
Colwall came back strongly in the second half, and won several short corners. From one of these, Lucy Halligan hit a well-struck shot into the corner of the goal to equalise for Colwall.
As the game drew to a close, Sam Shail and Jill Miles showed good stamina to break up Newent's attempts to attack and the game ended in a hard-fought draw.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Colwall will be away against Hereford in a league fixture at 1.30pm.
