THE first meeting of 2005 was a new year party with an American supper.
Illusionist Brett Sirrel provided the entertainment. He went round all the tables amazing everyone with his sleight of hand.
During the interval, a member played a selection of music on his keyboard, which everyone enjoyed.
Bookings were taken for the trip to Kew Gardens and the Orchid Show in March.
Arrangements are in hand for the Radio 4 programme Gardeners' Question Time, which the Club will host in February after being on the waiting list for 10 years.
Speaker on February 2 will be James Arbuthnot on unusual wall shrubs and climbers.
Meetings take place on the first Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm in the Village Hall, Alcester Road. Visitors welcome.
