BROMSGROVE Colts put on an excellent display to hand a workmanlike Burton side a 17-8 defeat.
The Colts were much better than last Saturday's score suggests and the late consolation try scored by Cole earned Burton some credibility.
All three tries were long range efforts. The first saw Ollie Wells pass the ball inside to Slaughter who sprinted into the corner. Crook failed with the conversion.
The second try involved most of the team, eventually Garner putting Gibson into the corner with a swallow-dive to finish off the move. Again the conversion was missed.
Burton kicked a first half penalty.
The third try came when Rostrup took a pop pass to crash over near the posts. Crane kicked the conversion for 17-3.
Burton rallied in the second half with Cole following up his own chip ahead with a touch down. He missed the conversion.
