I AGREE wholeheartedly with Joy Turner (Evening News, Monday, September 27) with regard to the chaos in the High Street.
Evidently the work was agreed by someone who has no interest in Worcester and trying to encourage people into the city centre.
With regard to her comments about "The Christmas Fair" again I would not be too worried if it did not happen. When it first appeared in Worcester it was an enjoyable affair, on the one or two recent occasions that I have been I have found it to be crammed into a few streets with no one able to move and every other stall the same as the one before. There is very little variety, seems to be no encouragement for local produce makers or manufacturers from Worcester, Evesham and Hereford to name but a few areas and the quantity of stalls seems to be dwindling as every year goes by.
ALLAN COLDICOTT,
