THE annual Worcestershire Beacon Race takes place tomorrow (Saturday), starting at Rose Bank Gardens, off Belle Vue Terrace, Malvern, at 3pm.

More than 150 runners are already entered for this seven-mile arduous race but entries on the day can still report to the St John Ambulance station in Portland Road, Malvern, before 2.15pm.

First runners are due back at Rose Bank gardens at around 3.40pm after climbing the Worcestershire Beacon.

Good viewing points are at the start/finish, St Ann's Well and the Gold Mine.

Last year's 50th anniversary event attracted a record number of entries.
