THE fruits of England's greatest sporting win since 1966 can be seen in Ledbury, when the Rugby World Cup is displayed.
Plans are being laid to make the event, on Saturday and Sunday, December 11-12, a great weekend for the town.
Ledbury Rugby Club manager Geoffrey Fletcher said the club would get the honour of looking after the William Webb Ellis trophy because of its good relationship with the Rugby Football Union.
Mr Fletcher said: "A whole series of events are being planned. On the Saturday morning, the cup will be under the Market House."
There will be junior rugby matches the Ross Road ground, followed by a VIP lunch and the main Ledbury RFC match. There will also be a dinner in the evening.
