IT is with disbelief that I read that one of our two main local bus services is to be cut to one an hour between 10am and 2pm. Is this really a serious proposition?
This is the very time when many people go out and about. I no longer have access to transport by car, so how do I travel around to keep doctors, chiropody, dentist and other appointments, plus the few shops that I have to visit away from Great Malvern in order to obtain goods not available in local shops?
I have only recently been able to obtain a travel pass but what use is it to anyone if we are not provided with a reasonably timed, reliable service?
I suggest our local authority and local transport services start doing some joined up thinking and provide local people with a better quality of life and indirectly also improve the lot of visitors to the area, who would also like to be able to travel by bus.
Come on Malvern, start getting your act together and give us a good bus service instead of reducing us to some sort of poor relation.
