THE frequency of showground related traffic accidents is likely to increase since the number of events increases, few related to agriculture but many to motoring. Moreover all road traffic increases.
Roughly half the vehicles entering and leaving the showground cross an opposing traffic stream.
Modifications to prevent this hazard would be costly but how much more is the cost of lives?
