THE official opening of Worcester City Council's customer service centre has been completed.
Mayor of Worcester, Councillor Allah Ditta, and Coun Derek Prodger were guests at the ceremony as Orchard House, in Farrier Street, was given the seal of approval.
The centre has been working since April and is now set to expand its role as it offers advice on some services provided by Worcestershire County Council.
It has quickly established itself as the city's central point for all customer enquiries relating to council services, answering an average 420 face-to-face queries a day.
"We are prepared to adapt and will always go that extra half-mile to get it right and we're now getting compliments - the user-friendly open-plan layout is proving particularly popular," said project manager Jacki Potts.
