DOZENS of visitors learnt about the delights of apples in a special Apple Day at Hanbury Hall.
The National Trust property, near Droitwich, opened its doors on Saturday for the annual event to celebrate the humble fruit.
Apple expert John Edgley talked to visitors about apples and apple trees and helped them to identify apples brought in.
Visitor services manager Louise Slater said: "Hanbury Hall has more than 140 apple trees including many traditional varieties such as Ashmeads Kernel and Howgate Wonder.
"The apple day was successful and people seemed to really enjoy it."
Other attractions included an apple trail, dipping apple games, apple juice sampling and there were a variety of apple-based food products on sale.
