BUDDING young artists in Worcester are being asked to design a Christmas card for the Three Pears Beefeater in Warndon, Worcester, which will be distributed to the restaurant chain's customers at its 156 eateries.
The winner of the festive competition, open to children aged 16 and under, will receive a meal for four people at the Wainwright Way restaurant, £1,000 donated in their name to the Association of Children's Hospices and 50 copies of the card to send to their family and friends.
Alan Kipps, manager at The Three Pears Beefeater, said he was looking for a painting or drawing that reflects what children think of a modern day Christmas.
"We had a great number of local entries last year and hope that someone from Worcester scoops top prize this year," he said.
Entries can be given to Alan or sent to Beefeater Christmas Designs, c/o Jersey House, 154 Castle Hill, Reading, Berkshire, RG1 7RP.
The closing date for entries to be received is Sunday, October 31.
