POLICE are warning tradesmen not to leave valuable power tools in work vans overnight following a spate of thefts in the past few days.
The incidents have all occurred in the Blackpole area of Worcester.
Since Tuesday, October 5, more than £2,000 of hardware have been stolen from three vans.
An orange Clipper electric cutter, a Makita electric drill and a cordless drill were stolen from a Ford Transit van in Rodborough Close overnight on Tuesday, October 5.
Thieves targeted a white Iveco Luton van in Tetbury Drive, stealing two drills worth £1,000, and other equipment. The theft occurred approximately between 6pm on Tuesday, October 5, and 9am Wednesday, October 6
In the third incident, two DeWalt multi-purpose drills, and Bosch equipment was stolen from a LDV 400 Convoy van parked in Chatcombe Drive, between 4.45pm on Tuesday October 5, and 3pm on Wednesday, October 6.
Anyone who has seen something suspicious, or has been offered the stolen items, they are asked to contact police on 08457 444 888.
