Wyre Forest Community Housing has submitted a planning application to Wyre Forest District Council for the scheme. It is expected to go before councillors in December.
Community leaders agreed to site the park at Shaw Hedge Road, next to Wribbenhall First school, after original plans for Bewdley Leisure Centre fell through due to high running costs. Funding is in place to create the park.
