A member, Carol Hardy, gave an account of the Olympic Games in Athens at the September 13 meeting, her daughter, Lucy, having reached the final of the sprint canoe event. The guest speaker was George Hook, talking about "World of Mother-of-Pearl".
Members contributed to the parish map to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of The Queen, which was exhibited at the Memorial Hall, Wolverley, on Saturday, October 2.
The map now has a permanent home in St John the Baptist Church, Wolverley.
