DIVISION Four newcomers Gate Inn came from behind to earn their first Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League points of the season.

Playing fellow new boys Lenches Lions, the Gate trailed at the interval despite an Allen goal. Lions led through White and Dyer, but second half efforts from Wormington and Ballard swung the game Gate's way.

George defeated Bengeworth Sports with six second half goals from Williams (3), James, Richards and Wilsden, Sports replied through Richmond and Wicks.

Tewkesbury Town went clear at the top of the third division after an odd goal in seven win over Moreton Town. Kavanagh (2), Heath and Tabrett netted for the winners with Moreton's replies from Moore (2) and Bartlett.

A hat-trick from Morris helped Norgren defeat Broadway Reserves, while goals from Welch, Hemming and Fraser gave Queens the points at Ashton.

Oddfellows Arms top Division Two after a 4-2 victory at Shipston Excelsior. Oddies scored through Williams (2), Haines and Sears, with Cooke and Wright n target for the hosts.

A Stuart Franklin treble, meanwhile, helped Bredon overcome bottom of the table Mountinneers.

A first half Spencer double saw Upton Snodsbury overcome Evesham WMC in Division One.

Red Horse dropped their first points of the season when they were held by Ambassador. Staley and Harris were on target for the Horsemen, with Jones and James replying for the visitors.

An exciting encounter at Badsey saw the Bear share six goals with Offenham Rovers.

Mickleton Rangers progressed in the GFA Premier Cup, but Willersey's long journey to Coleford resulted in defeat.
