IT is with disappointment that I read Jamie Shaw's letter (Shuttle/Times and News, September 23) regarding Stourport Relief Road. It infers that only he and a fellow colleague wrote to the county council over the matter and this is quite untrue.
I am on the panel to which Mr Shaw refers and it was an all-party decision to write to the county council.
The reply we received stated that it was inappropriate for an officer to attend our meetings so it has been decided that since the mountain will not come to Mohammed, Wyre Forest councillors will go to the mountain!
I shall be one of those councillors attending and I will state that Stourport has needed this relief road for over 30 years and it no longer requires the crumbs but requires the cake!
All parties must work together to obtain our relief road and it should not be used to try and gain political points.
