THOUSANDS of pounds worth of equestrian equipment have been recovered by police in Droitwich.

The equipment was found after police went to a house in Church Lane, Droitwich on Sunday, to arrest a man and woman on suspicion of attempting to steal horse rugs.

The man has been charged with two counts of burglary and one of theft and the woman with one count of theft.

They have been bailed to appear at Worcester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, October 19.

The arrests follow a series of thefts from stables and other equestrian-linked buildings in south and north Worcestershire during the last two months.

Detectives want victims to come forward to view the recovered items to see if their missing property is among them.

They are on display at Droitwich Police Station and arrangements to view can be made by calling 08457 444888 and asking for extension 3300.
