A DEATH threat on Worcester MP Michael Foster expired last night.

The Evening News reported on Tuesday that the MP had been given three weeks to live by a pro-hunt demonstrator on Wednesday, September 15 - the day the Hunting Bill was voted on in the House of Commons.

Mr Foster defiantly told the perpetrator - who had left the chilling phone message with the MP's constituency office in Worcester - that if he thought he could intimidate him, he was "destined to fail".

"Thankfully, nothing has happened, and I have literally carried on doing exactly what I was doing before - the job of an MP, serving my constituents," said Mr Foster this morning.

But he, his wife Shauna and their three children are still taking security advice from the police who took the death threat seriously.

"I'm happy with the arrangements I've made with the authorities and I'll now wait for our next review meeting," Mr Foster added.
