GARDENING CLUB: The September meeting was an entertaining talk by Wolff Wahle entitled My Garden. From having no idea about gardening at all, in a very short space of time, Wolff transformed his relatively small back garden in Evesham and opened it to the public for several years. His interest lies mainly with grasses and the slides showed how effective these can be in a planting scheme.
The monthly competition A Specimen Rose was won by Colin Hill with Jean Dyke second and Tony Smith third.
The next meeting on October 27 will be the AGM commencing at 8.30pm in the Memorial Hall. A social evening will be held on November 24. For details contact Colin Hill on 01386 853412.
