HARRIERS' Welsh dragon Lee Jenkins is convinced the atmosphere in the Aggb-orough dressing room is as positive as ever despite their precarious position in League Two.

The Pontypool-born midfielder insists there is still plenty of banter flying around - and he has been on the receiving end of it in the run up to Saturday's England v Wales showdown.

Jenkins was involved in a survival scrap with his former club Swan-sea in 2002-03 when a late resurgence saw the Jacks narrowly avoid relegation.

But the versatile 25-year-old is adamant the mood at Harriers is much brighter than it was at the Vetch back then.

"When I was at Swansea we were bottom of the league and the feeling there was very doom and gloom," he said.

"It wasn't until the end of the season that we developed a good spirit.

"It's still early days here and we've got good players in our dressing room who are quality players for this division and we'll be looking to turn the results around."

With the World Cup qualifer between his native Wales and England coming up after the Lincoln game on Saturday, Jenkins has experienced the Aggborough banter at first hand.

"I'm the only Welsh-man here at the moment now Danny Williams and Stuart Roberts have gone so I get a bit of stick off the lads," he said.

"I'll wear my Welsh shirt into training to try to wind the lads up and have a bit of banter.

"I'm not sure whether we'll watch the game after our match, but I don't think I fancy watching it stuck in a room full of English-men!"
