A TOTAL of £2,000 raised through the efforts of all those who took part in the Studley Wheelbarrow Race earlier this years was presented to two good causes yesterday.
A representative from Warwickshire Air Ambulance dropped into The Bell pub in Alcester Road and so too did Studley Young Firefighters, to collect their donations.
The money has been split between the two organisations.
Landlord Bob Wall, who co-organises the annual race, was delighted with the record total collected this year.
He said: "The wheelbarrow race has become like a carnival really and is a great community event. We'd like to thank all those who supported it."
