BROMSGROVE MP Julie Kirkbride has pledged her full support for residents fighting plans for a rendering plant in Hopwood.
Ms Kirkbride met HARM (Hopwood Against Rendering Movement) chairman Jeremy Roberts on Friday to discuss proposals to build the plant, which would be used to incinerate carcasses and off-cuts of animals not used for meat.
During the meeting, HARM asked the MP to question ministers about the planned factory.
Ms Kirkbride advised concerned residents to write to Worcestershire County Council to object to the proposals and to show the strength of feeling in the area.
She also urged people to continue writing to her.
Anyone wishing to write to HARM can email info@harm.org.uk, or to send donations email: donations@harm.org.uk
