AROUND 160 athletes braved a poor weather forecast for the North Worcestershire multi-terrain run.
Bromsgrove and Redditch Athletics Club promoted the event in Rubery last Sunday but fortunately the rain stayed away.
Tom Kenderdine (Kidderminster and Stourport) was more than two minutes clear to win in 54 minutes 20 seconds on a gruelling hilly off-road course. Rachel Felton (Shaftesbury Barnett) finished first lady and 20th overall in 1 hour 2.24 mins.
Kenilworth won the team prize and Dave Cleverley's (V40) 1.02.33 won him the Duggins trophy for first B&R male athlete home.
Jane Anderson (V35) took the Brian Heatherington cup as first B&R woman in 1.13.10.
