GOLFER Helen Griffin finished third at the Health Perception Ladies Amateur Championship.
The Droitwich Golf and Country Club player tied for third with Moira Jones, of Flintshire, but won courtesy of a better back nine holes at Wentworth's West Course on Tuesday, September 28.
Helen was one of 16 players from the UK and Ireland who reached the final from an original field of 23,000.
Elizabeth Martinez-Gray, from Bromley, won the event, beating Bournemouth's Debbie Knight to the title after a play-off.
Helen, married with a two children, qualified after winning the North West Midlands regional final in July.
