The book starts with the murder of an old couple in Wisconsin.

But at the same time in Minneapolis, detectives are trying to stop a serial killer. Neither knows that the murders are connected.

The Minneapolis murders are following the pattern of a nasty new online PC game that is just coming on to the market.

The killer is copying the murders in the game down to the last detail.

The software company that is responsible for the game consists of five people.

These five are the main suspects and they all seem to have shady pasts.

This is a brilliant book. It is well written, the characterisation and the plotline is superbly defined. It keeps you hooked right from the start and the suspense is kept up throughout.

The dialogue is sharp, witty, and crisp and in places very funny.

There are some really strong characters, such as Grace McBride, the mainstay of the software company.

Also Sheriff Michael Halloran and Detective Magozzi

I really enjoyed this book and I cannot wait to read the next one, called Live Bait.

My thanks go to Richard and Judy for putting Want To Play? on their summer reading list.

If you enjoy reading and like talking about the books afterwards, why not join our Readers' Group at Redditch Library.

The next meeting is on Friday, October 15, on the local history floor.

For more details, ask for Denise or call the library on 63291.
