A GROUP of artistic children helped a Bromsgrove school celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Pupils at Lickey Hills Primary, in Old Birmingham Road, used small pieces of tile to make a mural of the school logo.
The idea originally came from seven-year-old Jamie Thompson, who made a smaller version of the mosaic as part of the school's art exhibition and talent display, which was held last March.
Teachers picked up on the idea and decided it would be a fitting way to commemorate its 50th year. Children took it in turns to place tiles on the mural, which will be displayed outside reception.
The display was unveiled last Friday by local MP Julie Kirkbride.
Deputy headteacher Paula Rudd said: "The children really enjoyed doing it. Is is something different and they all got to do their little bit."
