YOUNGSTERS from a town school helped reopen a Charford store following a £130,000 revamp.
The Alldays store, in Gilbert Road, has been converted to a Co-op, creating three new jobs.
Pupils from Charford First School were invited to cut the ribbon after the store donated £200 to the Charford Road school to mark the occasion.
Store manager Mark Nesbitt said: "As a community retailer it is appropriate that we involve the community in our special events and we are delighted our local school is playing a central role in the re-launch of our store."
The new store will have modern dcor, automatic doors, new fittings and refrigeration and a shopper-friendly lay out. In addition, the store will keep the popular film rental and Post Office service.
