A GROUP of young bookworms are celebrating after completing a summer reading challenge.
Children from Rednal took up the Reading Rollercoaster at Cofton Hackett Library, while on their summer holidays.
Around 25 children, between the ages of four and 12, took part in the event with 21 of the youngsters successfully completing the challenge. The children had to read six books of their choice over the six-week period.
Ten boys and 11 girls took part, with a total of 126 books being read.
Dianne Morgan, community library co-ordinator, said: "The event was great. It encouraged the children to read and also come to the library."
